Our story

A Family Breeding Program Built Around Love and Responsibility

Tiny Hearts Maltipoos began with a simple love for the affectionate, intelligent and family-friendly nature of the Maltipoo. Over the past 15 years, we have focused only on this wonderful companion dog and have built our program around careful planning, attentive care and responsible placement.

We are not a puppy mill, large kennel or breeding firm. We do not produce puppies continuously or sell them as commercial products. Our adult dogs live with us as members of our family, and every puppy is born and raised in the same warm home environment.

Our children and extended family help provide gentle, age-appropriate interaction, allowing puppies to become familiar with voices, household sounds, movement and respectful handling before leaving for their new homes.

  • Raised inside our home in Sheridan, Wyoming
  • Socialized with adults, children and familiar family members
  • Focused exclusively on Maltipoo puppies
  • Thoughtful placement with loving, prepared homes
What guides us

Our Core Breeding Values

Every decision we make is guided by the long-term wellbeing of our dogs, puppies and the families who welcome them home.

❀️

Quality Over Quantity

We plan litters infrequently so each puppy receives the time, attention and care needed for a strong start.

🏑

Home-Based Raising

Our puppies grow up around normal family routines rather than being isolated in a commercial kennel environment.

🧬

Health-Focused Planning

We consider health history, temperament, structure and breed-relevant genetic information when selecting parents.

🐾

Responsible Retirement

Our parents are bred no more than twice before retirement, helping us protect their comfort and long-term wellbeing.

Honest Family Support

We answer questions openly and remain available to help families with care, training and transition guidance.

Life inside our home

How Our Puppies Experience Family Life

A puppy’s early environment can shape how comfortably it responds to new people, sounds and routines. That is why our puppies are raised in the heart of our home, where they can safely experience everyday family life.

We introduce new experiences gradually and never overwhelm young puppies. Our goal is to build positive associations and confidence through calm handling, predictable routines and age-appropriate enrichment.

Our breeding philosophy

Why We Breed Infrequently and Retire Parents Early

Our program is deliberately small because the health and happiness of our dogs matter more to us than producing a large number of puppies.

Approximately One Litter Every Two Years

We do not breed continuously. Planning litters infrequently gives us time to focus fully on our adult dogs, prepare carefully and devote personal attention to every puppy.

  • More individual attention for each puppy
  • Time for thoughtful health and temperament decisions
  • Less physical demand on our parent dogs
  • A personal relationship with each adopting family

Parents Retired After No More Than Two Litters

We believe breeding parents deserve long, happy lives as companions. Limiting each parent to no more than two litters helps us place their lifelong wellbeing first.

  • Protects long-term comfort and health
  • Avoids repeated commercial breeding
  • Allows parents to enjoy family life after retirement
  • Reflects our quality-over-quantity philosophy
The puppy journey

From Birth to a Loving New Home

Our puppies move through a calm, carefully supported process before joining their new families.

1

Birth and Bonding

Puppies remain close to their mother while we monitor comfort, nursing and early development.

2

Gentle Socialization

They begin experiencing human touch, household life and positive, age-appropriate enrichment.

3

Health and Learning

Puppies receive appropriate care and introductions to feeding, grooming, potty and crate routines.

4

Family Placement

We help approved families prepare for pickup or transportation and a smooth first week at home.
